What’s Proxy Addressing?
Proxy Addressing; Instead of your account number (IBAN) to the person you want to send you money or make a payment, it is your information that you can identify through the channels of the banks/e-money companies where you have your account, and which is easier to enter and use.
Your accounts can match with your phone number, e-mail address, T.R. citizenship ID, Tax Identification Number, Foreign Identification Number, Passport Number information with your Proxy Address and request that the Proxy Address information you have determined for your account be used instead of the account number in money transfers.
To define your Proxy Addresses, you should use the channels of the banks/e-money companies where your account is located.
How to save Proxy Address?
- Log in to the channel of the banks/e-money companies where you have an account providing Proxy Address service.
- Select the Proxy Address Definition/Registration menu
- Match the account for which you want to define a Proxy Address with the Proxy Address information you want to correspond to this account
How to use Proxy Address?
- Share the Proxy Address information you defined for the account you want the money to come from, to the person who wants to send you money.
- It will be sufficient for the person sending you money to write this information in the recipient account field.
- The person sending money will see your name masked and can be sure that they are sending it to the right person.
- Money transfer transactions with Proxy Address registration will begin to be used with the FAST system, which is the instant fund transfer service operated by the CBRT.
- In order to send money via Proxy Address registration, the banks/e-money companies where the person sending you money has an account must be ready for the FAST system.
What is FAST?
It is an instant payment system operated by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
With this system called FAST (Instant and Continuous Transfer of Funds), our citizens will be able to transfer money between their accounts in different banks/e-money companies within seconds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
